Hello Everyone,
I am new here. I recently went to my primary care physician advising her that I was chronically fatigued all the time and couldn't get past it. I had stopped exercising as much as I used to and wanted to lay in bed all day long and sleep. She ran a number of blood tests and they came back with a strong positive for an autoimmune diseases with the likelihood that it was lupus. She referred me to a rheumatologist. I met with the rheumatologist last week and he went over my blood tests and my symptoms and decided to perform some more blood tests before making an exact diagnosis. So far I don't have many of the lupus symptoms except for the chronic fatigue all the time. I have been eating healthy foods and doing exercise daily, so maybe that is why I don't have all the awful symptoms of lupus. As of 2 days ago, I have started to make myself get outside and go for a walk in nature every day. Once I get started walking, I do feel much better and after a 1 hour walk, I feel like I have more energy and I actually feel better.
I started eating very healthy food and cutting out my sugar a few years ago when my doctor advised me that I had fatty liver disease and that my liver enzymes were higher than they should be.
My goal is to manage this autoimmune disease and hopefully, with the help of others, I will be able to do this.
