Hi All,
I'm Kyle from New Zealand, though I havent lived there in 20 years.
I've been working full time in gyms and health clubs 25years now since I was 18. I am 44yo now.
I have lived in and run gyms in over a dozen countries from Africa, to Dubai, to Alaska, UK, Australia etc
I'm currently living in Philippines, not working, and had my life savings stolen by a long time friend. I am about to marry my Filipina fiancee next month.
She still works full time to support us.
I am in Quezon City...I hate it here...so we are off to try Cebu , but ultimately I want to get us out of here asap.
I'm about to start teaching English online as it's all I can find at this stage.
I'm worried about the future as the health care is so low quality Here, whereas I know the hospitals in Bangkok are AMAZING.
I'm looking for nice beaches, street food , quality healthcare and fairly cheap living costs.
Is Thailand a good option?. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated with open arms.
I would love a small community of expats to socialise with, but I also want to be part of the local community.
As a Kiwi with a Filipina wife could we Enter Thailand on 3 month tourist visas then extend from there?
I am fine with heat as Australia the past few years is hotter than the Philippines.
If anyone has any suggestions of how to earn more than $10 /hr please pass them on.
I know Thailand is a global gym destination so I feel I could potentially go back to personal training there, especially foreigners and tourists, but that is just from all the gym guys I know who visit Thailand each year.
Again , any and all suggestions will be lovingly taken onboard..
Warm regards
Kyle 🙏
