Steal this tuning
Since Christian and I were talking a bit about alternative guitar tunings in his latest cover, I thought I'd share one of my favorite open tunings with you. Don't ask me how I came up with this one—I don't remember—but it's super fun to try out.
It's basically a whole guitar tuned to a power chord, similar to the way Soundgarden did it in "The Day I Tried to Live."
On the album Superunknown, they have a tuning which basically from low to high goes E E B B B B. In this one, I also use a power chord, basically playing root, fifth, root, fifth, and then double root.
If you try it out, it would be great to see you guys use it as well and jam around with it a bit.
