My First Thumb Pick (After 15 Years of Playing) 👍
I’ve been learning The Sound of Silence by Simon & Garfunkel recently. I always assumed it was played fingerstyle. I was right and wrong...
He does play fingerstyle, but with a thumb pick. So, to stay closer to the original sound, I decided to buy my first one 🙌
Much of the dexterity I’ve built from other fingerstyle songs still carries over. Using a thumb pick isn’t a huge departure from using the thumb itself, but it does change the tone 🎶
Have you ever used thumb picks before?
