2 things I wish I knew before my 1st yr was over 😮💨
1. Ask questions, don't be shy. The first year is your hardest. You're going to want to make sure you ask all the questions you can while you are with your mentor on the truck with them and they are teaching you. There are a lot of things that are taught in school that are not reality, but don't let that scare you! Don't be afraid to ask questions and ask for phone numbers of trustworthy people you can have on hotline. People are more than willing to help once you get out there. 2. If you thought you learned patience before learn it again. Because you will need it with yourself and with other drivers. With anything that you try to rush, you will end up taking longer in the long run. Because no matter how good you think you are especially starting out, you will run into whatever the road or the day takes you. So it is always important to practice meditation and to work on your patience, so that you do not burn out within your first year.
