In all the excitement I forgot to offer a collective reading from today's session. However I do want to add a few images that represent themes of today - being The Moon card (Pisces zodiacal tarot card) and The Hanged Man (Pisces planetary card for Neptune). The cross that the man is placed upon is known as The Tau cross, shaped like the letter 'T' and representing the last Hebrew letter (Tav), is an ancient Christian symbol heavily adopted by St. Francis of Assisi. It signifies salvation, divine protection, humility, and a commitment to a "crucified" life, often worn by Franciscans as a seal of their commitment to God.
Not only this I then pondered the meaning of Jupiter in all of this symbolically - let's look at the Glyph itself and when combined is a cross and a curved crescent. The integration of light and shadow is where the Wheel of Fortune (Jupiters planetary card) turns - the cross + crescent seem integrated.
Another perspective is the formation of the legs on the man on the cross which is in direct alignment with the alchemical symbol of sulpher. Representing evaporation and dissolution. I would like to think until we are no longer in a sacrificial position we can gain new perspectives. The arrogance of man can not only be deluded by it's firey process, but may have to succumb to his spiritual calling.
I have decided to use oracle cards for today's spread and meaning for us all. The following cards are from 'Oracle of Mystical Moments' by Catrin Welz-Stein.
So what does the book say?
51 - To the Moon and Back - Desires, Wishes, Longings
45 - New Directions - Departures, New perspectives, Goodbyes
1 - Day & Night - Uncertainty, Fears Worries, Decisions to be made, Follow your instincts.
As far as I can tell, we can go wherever we want to go in our imagination. The power of desire is real. Lusting for results fails. Hold onto your dreams and let it all go. Allow the dandelion to take you places you've not thought possible. Dandelions represent hope and I always remain hopeful. There is a time for light and a time for shadow. This new moon in Pisces is integration of both. The Day and Night card to me is almost a direct telling of The Moon card. Integration is the key to wisdom. Don't allow what's beneath the water to pull you under. You can start today. Look to balance your planetary hours and get ready to move.
