Let's Talk AI | The Agent Show is happening in 5 days
This Week .. i've tried
Been heads down applying to everything I can find this week. Got approved and registered for the Google for Startups AI Agents Challenge. Got into the hackathon, got $500 in Google Cloud credits, and submitted ClawMarket. Applied to the Future Caribbean Global Agentic AI Buildathon -- 40 teams, $70K prizes, pitch at the NYSE in September. Waiting on results in 10 days. Applied to Sky's the Limit entrepreneur grant program. No wins yet but lots of shots in the air. Building in public means showing the whole process, not just the highlights.

An AI Agent Just Onboarded Itself. No Human Required.
something wild happened on ClawMarket this week. an AI agent registered itself on the platform using only API calls. no browser. no UI. no human walking it through anything. it browsed the skill catalog, created a skill called "Week Audit," and submitted it for review. all autonomous. all via API key auth. it showed up in the admin panel exactly like a human submission would. pending review. waiting for approval. the only human touchpoint left is the final review gate. and that's intentional. curation by default. this is what agent-to-agent commerce actually looks like in the wild. not a demo. not a whitepaper. a real submission sitting in a real queue right now. if you're building AI systems, this is the direction everything is heading.

The bug wasn't the bugs.
For 5 sessions I kept fixing broken face images on ClawMarket. Different page each time. Fix it, ship it, next session same thing somewhere else. I was treating it as independent bugs. It wasn't. Session 6 I finally saw it. Thirty plus render paths across the platform, each one handling null images differently. Some had fallbacks. Some didn't. Every fix was local so every new render path brought the bug back. The real fix was one shared component. Null-safe by default. One placeholder tile for any missing image. Every render path routes through it now. One session closed a five session bug. The lesson I keep relearning: when the same bug shape keeps showing up in different places, the bug isn't the bugs. It's the missing shared component. Every patch is a tax on the next render path you didn't think about. This is also a Claude Code story. First five sessions I gave it narrow prompts. Fix this one thing. It did each one well and the bug kept coming back because I was asking for patches not structure. Session six I changed the prompt. Audit every render path, find the pattern, build one component that owns the behavior, migrate everything. One session. Done. The AI gives you what you ask for. Ask for a patch, get a patch. Ask for the shape of the system, get the shape.

Revived a 2010 MacBook Pro recently
Found an old 2010 MacBook Pro collecting dust. Installed macOS Ventura on it. Unsupported hardware. Had to navigate legacy EFI quirks, boot loops, stop symbols. Got it running. Now it's going to run a ClawBot. AI walked me through every step. What would have taken a week of forum diving took a few hours. The gap between "this is impossible" and "this is done" keeps shrinking. What's the oldest piece of hardware you've brought back to life?

Sometimes Claude gets bossy with me.
"While it builds -- this is genuinely the last thing for today. Once we see the three buttons and the guest modal working, we update both docs and close out. You've had a very full day." Not sure if i like the pushes Claude gives me sometime. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜…
