How do people cope after enduring trauma? How does trauma affect a person's life? Can a person hide their trauma? Can a person forget their trauma? Are there traumatic events that are impossible to overcome? Would you know if someone close to you endured trauma? What is it like to be married to someone with unresolved trauma? What is Dissociative Identity Disorder? Why does God allow people to endure horrific trauma? Does it feel like God allowed trauma to destroy your life?
This community is built to discuss these types of questions, from a very personal view.
Throughout almost 20 years with my spouse, who has DID, 10 years of trauma therapy and day to day life with him, I have seen the effects of trauma and DID.
I know what it is like to need a support system, outside of therapy, and now want to be a relatable source to others on their journey.
Trauma and DID are very complex. It is very important to get a professional diagnosis, professional trauma therapy and a proper support system.
