The power of friendships in business 🄰
I’ve been wrestling with a business challenge for quite a while now.
You know the kind…
The one that sits quietly in the background of your mind no matter what else you’re doing.
I’ve felt frustrated. Indecisive. Nervous. Worried.
I’ve had a couple of restless nights.
I’ve even caught myself saying, ā€œI’ll deal with it later,ā€ while metaphorically sweeping it under the rug… only to keep tripping over the lump. šŸ§¹šŸ˜‰
If I’m honest, it’s cost me more time, energy and money than I ever wanted it to.
I’ve swung between ā€œLet’s give this one more shotā€ and ā€œLet’s put it out of its misery and toast its farewell with champagne.ā€ šŸ„‚šŸ˜‚
Then something wonderful happened.
One of my dear business friends - who also happens to be from one of the very first Mindset Coach Academy cohorts - stepped in. 🄰
In less than two hours she found what feels like the perfect solution.
Not because she’s magical (although she comes pretty close!), but because she understood how much this mattered to me. She listened. She challenged my thinking. She helped me see possibilities I’d stopped being able to see.
This morning, after an 8.30am meeting with a third-party provider, we’ve already started putting that solution into action.
Twenty-four hours ago it genuinely felt impossible.
Today it feels achievable.
And it reminded me of something really important…
Don’t build your business alone.
FIND your people.
The ones who understand both the excitement and the exhaustion.
The ones who celebrate your wins, sit with you in the uncertainty, ask the hard questions, play devil’s advocate when you need it and remind you what’s possible when you’ve temporarily forgotten.
Those people are priceless.
One of the things I hope we continue to build here isn’t just knowledge or coaching skills…
It’s genuine friendships.
The kind where someone says, ā€œLet’s figure this out together.ā€
So whether you’re celebrating a win, wrestling with a challenge, or simply need another perspective…
You’re in good company here.
For the highs.
For the lows.
For the yeses.
For the nos.
This is a place to think, share, support one another and grow.
I’m also going to be adding some Coffee & Connection sessions to our calendar soon, because I have a feeling some incredible conversations and lifelong business friendships are waiting to happen. ā˜•ā¤ļø
P.S. I’ll let you in on what ā€œthe thingā€ was once we’re safely out the other side. šŸ¤—
