Good morning, friends. In the spirit of my no-spend January, I'm having coffee only at home. I've created this latte recipe to enjoy as a treat, and I've found it to be more satisfying than the $9 Starby's.
If you decide to try it, please let us all know if it satisfied you as written, or if you've improved it with some tweaks.
Celestial Latte
Ingredients:
- Strong coffee (my fave for this recipe is Café du Monde)
- ¾ cup whole milk
- 1 tsp honey or brown sugar
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- Tiny pinch cinnamon
Instructions:
1. Brew the coffee stronger than usual.
2. Stir honey, vanilla, and cinnamon into the hot coffee.
3. Steam cold whole milk to a silky texture (about 140–150°F).
4. Pour steamed milk into coffee (about 60% milk, 40% coffee).
5. Finish with a little foam from the steamed milk and a light cinnamon dust.
