I loved your analogy about self care and how it relates to "having a splinter in your finger, it's not a luxury to remove it, it is necessary". This was gold!
Thank you for sharing your own journey with self care. It was so profound that you started practicing self care for the ones you love, which turned into practicing self care because you love yourself.
