Mindfulness is noticing what we feel — without running from it or rushing to fix it. It’s staying present with the whole spectrum: the pleasant and the uncomfortable. It’s letting the good sink in, so our minds slowly learn to recognise it more. It’s sitting with a feeling… and also knowing when it’s time to let it go.
Mindfulness is the quality we bring to what we do. Every action carries energy — and in art, this becomes beautifully visible. That’s why even five mindful minutes with a pencil, brush, or pastel can shift the whole day. Here’s my 5-minute piece, inspired by Fear: Fear can keep us in a box…but love? More on that tomorrow.
