Emotional eating isn't weakness.
Stress and dopamine change how you respond to food. That's chemistry, not character. Shame has never once fixed it. It just adds a second problem on top of the first. Understand the pattern. Name the trigger. Then change the environment around it. Curiosity moves you forward. Shame keeps you stuck.

Erratic meals spike hunger hormones. Predictable meals calm them. This isn't about eating less. It's about eating consistently enough that your body stops panicking and hoarding. Same-ish meals, same-ish times, for a week. Watch your cravings quiet down.

Cortisol isn't your enemy. Chronically high cortisol is.
Cortisol is supposed to spike and fall. Wake you up. Handle a stressor. Then settle. The problem is when it never settles. Always-on stress keeps cortisol elevated, and elevated cortisol tells your body to hold fat and crave fast energy. You can't out-train it. You can't out-diet it. You lower it. That's the work most people skip.
