Performance of Warehouses ?
Hi there, I'm new to all this Fabric stuff, I've just watched the video on performance, and understand this is good for lakehouses. When we first undertook the task of looking into Fabric as an alternative to our in-house Oracle DB we were told that Fabric is very similar to how Snowflake auto tunes the data and there was no need for us to worry about indexes and partitions.
I am a little perplexed by this as when I look at the documentation it specifically partitioning is not supported in warehouse tables, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/data-warehouse/tables
I am expecting to follow a bronze, silver, gold model with Bronze and Silver being Lakehouses and Gold bening my presentation layer for PowerBI, TSQL etc.
Am I missing something, but how do we tune a warehouse for reporting with all of these limitations ?
