Customizable managed self-service BI architecture

Hi everyone! I'm trying to achieve this architecture Power BI usage scenarios: Customizable managed self-service BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

But I'm struggling to understand how to restrict the access to the parent semantic model. I have a master data and 3 children semantic models. Those 3 should have a subset of the tables from the parent, connected via DirectQuery to the main one that's connected to a Warehouse

How do you grant access to the children? If you have to give access to the parent too this defeats the purpose of segmenting them in the first place because in the main one we'll see all of the data

I tried OLS but if I were to grant build access to the child I'd also have to grant build access to the parent
