[NEWS] Devin AI Software Engineer is Going to Change EVERYTHING.

So if you haven't heard yet, Cognition Labs just introduced Devin, the world’s first fully autonomous AI software engineer.

This innovative AI can independently handle complex engineering tasks, making it a game-changer for developers and tech teams.

It's designed to work with familiar developer tools and offers real-time collaboration with users.

This means engineers can focus on bigger challenges while Devin handles the intricate coding tasks.

In the SWE-bench coding benchmark, Devin resolved 13.86% of issues end-to-end, shattering the previous record of 1.96%.

Beyond this, Cognition Labs, the brains behind Devin, has secured a whopping $21 million in Series A funding led by Founders Fund. This financial boost is set to propel their vision of building AI teammates that extend beyond today’s AI tools.

My thoughts;

I'm honestly extremely excited for this to come out - if I can rapidly prototype anything that comes to mind with this AI Agent, I can GTM (go to market) way faster than my competitors and also validate my ideas faster.

I'm looking forward to trying this out when I get access for both my own agency and also the startup that I'm part of - two very different use cases that will see value in their own unique ways.
