For those that are working on your IG and struggle with posing in shots by yourself, here are some tips from an ex male model and actor.
1)Feel
First and foremost, you need to feel the way you want others to feel.
The most subtle hints of nervousness will bleed through your your body language, just as the understanding that your are THE MAN will shine through even if you are not tailoring your body language.
That is the secret sauce behind faking it until you make it.
2) Relax
Relax your jaw and lightly rest your tongue on the roof of your mouth. This will make your face slender, pronounce your jaw one, and keep you symmetrical. It also helps if you have a slight over bite like me, my profile (side) pictures show my over bite if I clench my jaw, but my jaw lines up if it is relaxed.
3)Match the energy
I know "hippie nonsense"... but bare with me...
If you take into account my first suggestion, if you are taking a picture at a wedding and you look like you are full a melancholy that doesn't portray the same archetype as you feeling and looking like a rockstar partying at a wedding...
Melancholy is a great feeling to pour into the proper moment, staring off into the sunset at the beach would be a great context for projecting this feeling with your art, and feeling like a rock star is what you want others to see when you are celebrating a wedding...
