Quick update about Melody
I want to share a bit of clarity about where Melody is headed.
We’re still finishing out the 31-day challenge together, just as planned. Nothing is changing about that.
At the same time, I’ve updated the About page and added a new Welcome / Start Here post to reflect what Melody is becoming after the challenge ends.
What is becoming apparent to me is that Melody works better as an intentional weekly practice, rather than a long-term challenge or ongoing update space.
Each week will have:
  • one simple prompt
  • one small piece of music (short, finished, human)
  • one shared rhythm we all move to
The rhythm stays the same.
The experience changes every week.
Some weeks the prompt might be a strange constraint.
Some weeks it might involve where you play, how you listen, or who you imagine you’re playing as.
The point isn’t variety for its own sake—it’s giving your brain a reason to pay attention and remember.
Once the 31 days are complete, Melody will transition into this steady weekly format, and eventually into a paid space—mainly to protect the rhythm and keep it alive long-term. The intention is to serve the best of what this community could be.
For now, there’s nothing you need to do differently.
Just keep showing up to the challenge, making small pieces, and practicing alongside each other.
If you’re curious about what’s coming next, the updated About page and Welcome post will give you a feel for it. More soon—no rush.
Grateful to be making music with you all 🎼
