Voting in poll for next topic..
If you haven’t voted in the new poll yet, take a second and click the topic you want broken down next. This community works best when I’m teaching what you actually want to understand. No judgement, no pressure — just pick the one you want to feel more confident with. Your vote literally shapes the next lesson. If you’re unsure which one to pick, choose the topic that makes you hesitate the most. That’s usually the one worth learning.

Start here if you’re feeling overwhelmed.
If this course feels like a lot, that’s normal. Start with the “START HERE” lesson, then pick one topic that feels relevant to your current role or next shift. You don’t need to master everything at once. Understanding grows one layer at a time. Ask questions when something doesn’t click. That’s what this space is for.

Who this academy is for..
This space was built for EMS first, but the fundamentals we’re teaching apply across emergency and critical care. If you’re a flight nurse, ICU, ER, or NICU nurse, you’re welcome here. The focus is physiology, assessment, and clinical reasoning, not protocols or unit-specific policies. Whether you work on the street, in the air, or at the bedside, understanding why things are happening makes you better everywhere.

Here’s how we’re going to tackle this..
A lot of you shared what you struggle with, and the common theme is feeling overwhelmed by disconnected topics. That’s normal. We’re not going to chase everything at once. We’re going to build this the right way. We’ll start by connecting physiology to vitals and assessment so you can recognize what’s wrong before worrying about devices or protocols. Once that foundation is solid, things like vents, drips, incident command, and teaching start to make sense instead of feeling random. One system at a time. One skill at a time. Stay patient with yourself. This is how real confidence is built.
