I recently posted this, using the exact phrase I hear from my clients, and connected with 14 potential clients.
So let me break it down for you.
The main question is:
Are you using the exact words and phrases your ideal clients use when they talk about their problems or their desired solutions?
Sometimes we use very educational/ dry language which can unintentionally create a barrier.
For example as a marketer I wouldn’t say: This is how to attract more “leads “I would say “potential clients”. I wouldn’t say “KPIs” I would say results. And if I ever need to use these words, I’ll make sure to explain them.
If I were I dietitian I wouldn’t include the word Glycemic Index in my headlines. Instead I would use something like:
How much sugar is in it?
Does this spike my blood sugar?
Is this good for my energy levels?
So YOUR actions for today:
- Write down: Make a note of the specific words and phrases your ideal clients use to describe their pain points and desired outcomes.
- Incorporate: Try to include just one or two of those exact phrases into your next piece of content. See how they react.
