How SB 140 Impacts Wholesaling and Cold Calling

Hello all,

As you may know, the new SB 140 law took effect this September in Texas, and it comes with updated telemarketing regulations.

I’m curious to understand how this law might impact wholesaling activities—specifically, are we still allowed to do cold calls or send text messages to prospects under these new rules?

Additionally, I have friends working abroad who wholesale remotely. Since they rely on VOIP systems to make calls, I’d like to know how SB 140 affects the use of such systems for reaching out to Texas residents.

I’d really appreciate your helpful ideas and insights on this.
