Privacy Protection option in Blue Host page

Hi, guys. I'm taking the deal with Blue Host for the website we have to get to go on with the course. But I'm hesitant to unmark the Privacy Protection option, since Blue Host advice that all h**l will brake loose if I allow my personal information to get public. Not that I'm doubting Scott advice, but it seems to me that Blue Host could be right about this. What should I do? Thanks in advance
