How to hire killer setters and closers… that can actually sell lol
So you have an offer that’s doing relatively well, maybe you’re doing $20k/mo, $50k/mo, or even $100k/mo+, and you’re ready to remove yourself from the sales process.
You’re ready to bring someone in who can handle setting appointments or taking sales calls for you. But then the questions comes… where do you actually get quality talent from?
Like real quality talent… Killers who just come in and it’s like your sales process just clicks for them.
Well after having done over 500 interviews with sales reps and placing them into many of our partner’s companies here are the 4 places where I’ve found the most quality from…

- Job boards are okay. If you’re just starting out with nothing to your disposal then they may just be your best bet.
- They bring in a large amount of applicants.
- No specific targeting with job boards so pretty much everyone comes in to the pool
- It’s a free option so if on a budget and looking to be as cost effective as possible then that may be your best bet.
- Typically quality is not as good, will need to sift through a lot of applicants to find the right rep.

- Ads are good. They bring in a large amount of applicants quickly.
- Have more control over the targeting of where you want your applicants to come from, their background, and their interests.
- Will need to have some capital.
- Will still be required to go through and sift through a lot of different lists of people.

- Your network is great.
- Partnering with other sales coaches is also a great way to build your your network of sales talent that you can source from.
- Leveraging your audience, the people who already know like and trust you, is a great pool to source talent from.
- Using your network will allow you to find quality talent who are also a good culture fit
- Create a training program for reps. Will be able to prepare them for when their ready. (ex. we train growth agents)

- My favorite as they’re usually the highest quality.
- The process for poaching a rep can be pretty long however it’s worth the effort when they’re closing above 60%+.
- Will need to make sure the opportunity you’re giving to rep is something that is better than where they’re currently at.
- Can be a bit complex with NDA and Non-Competes.
Hopefully you with this post you can have an easier time when it comes to finding your next sales talent.
I didn’t want to make this post too long but If you want to know more about the exact hiring process we use to onboard new reps then feel free to shoot me a dm.
