How To Develop a "Grand Slam Offer"
I am sure many people are still trying to refine their niche.
I spent a while trying to figure out mine, and sometimes it isn't clear what we are supposed to do to get the famous "grand slam offer".
Let's start simple.
Well, what is a niche?
A niche is a group of people with a common desire of where they want to go.
You need to know who your target customer is before you can make money.
STEP ONE: Identify the target customer
  1. Identify your areas of expertise and passion and use that as a topic or field
  2. Discover a group that is in a similar topic of field using market research
  3. Make sure the niche has a pain point or problem that needs solving.
  4. Make sure you can solve it
  5. Design a target customer avatar and do customer research to find out more about them
  6. You should now know their:
  • Current situation
  • Desired Situation
  • Struggle/obstacle in the way of them getting to desired situation
  • Their beliefs and objections
  • Location (what social media platforms or areas do they live in)
When you understand your customer, only then can you help them, and close deals.
STEP TWO: Develop an offer
  1. Figure out what you need to do to overcome the customer's problem (Features)
  2. Figure out the minimum amount of effort the customer needs to put in for it to work (action cost)
  3. List the benefits of what you do and the result the customer will get (benefits not features) and how long it will take to get them there (timeframe)
  4. Figure out potential objections and create answers pre-emptively so you can crush any doubts.
  5. Develop a Standard Operating Procedure for reliably getting clients results and then package it in an attractive way so you can use that as your copy.
Prospects judge the value based on the benefits * your perceived credibility, divided by their action cost * the timeframe
STEP THREE: Close the deal
  1. You need some expertise so you can actually get them the result and have enough conviction to convince them that you can.
  2. Develop your personal brand and reputation online through posting content to create credibility
  3. Outreach and contact 100s of prospects a week, or 1000s if you are a real hustler.
  4. Book some calls using: (social proof and/or content, a good funnel, professionalism, outreach)
  5. Sales skills- this is less important the better your offer is. However you need to have some basic competence. Sales is about asking the right questions, creating pain and then positioning yourself as the solution to relieve that pain.
Measure your KPIs and don't let emotion guide your business decisions.
If you stick to it for long enough and do all of these correctly, you will not fail.
