Treating a room right

I am buying a house and I am going to take the biggest master bedroom and transform it into a mixing/mastering environment. I will also track some live ensembles guitars bass and drums and vocals. It has new carpet and Sheetrock walls. I plan on building my own panels with 1x4 and safe and sound or denim insulation and corner bass traps. I need some ideas and resources and tips and discussions.

I mix only in stereo for now.

I have decent monitors Adam a7v they have some type of correction dsp built in that work with Sonar. I’ve never set them up for correction.

I have a rather large mixing desk.

Help me to do it right.
