Someone is walking towards the bridge next to the park, he steps on the old rusty bridge and he start walking on it until he reaches the first pilon then he stops. He lights a cigarette, as he blows the smoke away he look down at the water.
He's chest feels heavy, he wants to jump in the water and to end it all but... he knows something... he knows that if he does that he is going to commit a sin.
Then he says to God that he is sorry but he can't endure this life anymore, then something happens... he doesn't jump, he fells like someone is in front of him, holding him by his chest so he wouldn't jump
Was that God?
Or it was the fear of what his loves one will endure if they lost him?
Was it fear of dead?
Or fear of the pain ?
I don't know, but after that he walks away from the bridge and he goes back home to the family problems, to the anxiety and depression, back to the addiction, but next day something happens...
His in class and one of his classmates is asking a friend out who doesn't want to and he (our character) offers himself to go out with his classmate and he accepts.
They got out and they start talking and for some reason they had started to talk about religion and his classmate shares the Gospel with him (our character) then they go to his house and he gets him 2 New Testaments book and a Christian magazine and after that they got to each others house.
That.... that was the moment when something great had started, something that's called God's plan, a plan to prosper you, not to harm you.
But who is he ( our character ) from the story?
Well... that was me... 2 years ago and now God had restored me.
He (God) transform my from a 13 year old teen who was smoking, addicted to p*rn, addicted to social media, who didn't care as little as possible about school, He brought me to a new person, healed my from this addiction and open my eyes about life. If God didn't show up at that moment in my life I would had only 2 endings.
Either on the bottom of a river
Either getting even deeper into my addiction and eventually destroy my life
But Christ had healed me and he can heal you too
So don't look at your self or at your addictions, or at your situation without hope because He can heal you.
