What I Would Do To Get 50 Customers In 30 Days
This is the exact system I would use to get 50 customers in just 30 days, one month's time. Step #1: Knock on doors. Knock Monday through Friday for a couple of hours each day. Focus on following the D2D framework taught in the D2D Masterclass and our free mini course. If you knock consistently for 20 days and average just two sales per day, that’s 40 sales in four weeks. Anything above that is a bonus. Next, choose one specific day each week to consistently post in your local Facebook and Nextdoor groups. Let people know you’ll already be servicing homes in their area and offer a limited-time discount for anyone who signs up before the end of the week. Keep the message simple, direct, and urgency-driven. This should generate at least one additional sale per week, adding four more sales over the course of the month. To secure the next set of sales, send a message to all one-time customers in your database. Offer them a limited-time discounted lifetime rate if they sign up for bi-monthly or quarterly service. Be clear that the offer expires on a specific date to create urgency. (You can also market it as having limited spots available) Finally, launch a limited-time referral promotion. Offer $40 off their next service (or a free month) for every new customer who signs up using their referral link. Provide them with a simple, copy-and-paste message they can send to friends and neighbors to make it easy. By combining consistent door knocking, neighborhood saturation, weekly social campaigns, customer reactivation, and a referral push, you can realistically reach 50 sales within four weeks.

How will you be different from the rest?
Last Thursday, while I was out knocking doors, I turned onto a street and saw another trash bin cleaning company in our city. He had just finished a job and was getting back into his truck to leave. To my surprise, he left the bins sitting on the front curb instead of returning them to the garage or side gate. That caught my attention because, to me, that’s the bare minimum—we always make sure to put the bins back where they belong. It made me realize something important: there are always small ways to improve the customer experience. You should constantly be looking for opportunities to: - Make your service more convenient for the customer - Go the extra mile so they leave a great review and stay with you long-term - Differentiate yourself from every other trash bin cleaning company in your area The small details matter more than you think. Always be thinking about how you can improve your service and stand out from the rest. The customers—and the switchovers—will come. Trust me.

Let's talk about handing out literature...
Are you handing out cards, flyers, stickers, or door hangers? If so, how has that experience been for you? Have you gotten any sign ups? What types of literature have worked best for you?

How to Close Someone When They Approach You During Cleanings
Chances are, while you’ve been out cleaning bins, nearby neighbors have come out, talked to you, and shown interest in the service—asking what you do and how much you charge. These interactions are gold. They can turn into easy, lay-down sales if handled correctly… or easy sales to lose if handled poorly. Learn more about how to close these sales in our "Customer Acquisition Playbook" page in Classroom.
