Make Your Life Really Work began with my father, Dr. Alan Haynes, PhD — priest, sociologist, University professor, and business consultant. His question, asked four ways across a lifetime: how do you build a life that actually works? His answer: plan the life first, and make the business serve it. His catchphrase: "If you don't know where you're going, you're already there."
I helped him re-write and market the original guidebooks in the 1990s. He passed in 2003 — the same year I started the marketing agency I still run. When it started running me, I applied his frameworks: handed control to skilled contractors, moved my hours from fulfilment to acquisition, brought in account managers. It worked — and that working business is the proof behind everything taught here.
