Web development - 01
Today we had our first web development session. Here’s what we covered:
- What web development is and how it works
- The difference between front-end and back-end
- How the front-end, back-end, and database connect through APIs
- Basic HTML structure and commonly used HTML tags
- Why HTML is considered the building block of every website
Assignment:
- Install VS Code (Visual Studio Code) — it’s a widely used code editor and perfect for beginners
- You may use any IDE of your choice later, but for now, start with VS Code
- Explore W3Schools to learn different HTML tags and their purpose
- The more you practice these tags, the easier it will be to follow the upcoming lectures
