Should I Master Figma Completely Before Taking Client Work?
Right now, I can design ecommerce stores in Figma for clients who want storefront designs, and I already have a portfolio.
My main question is this: sometimes high-ticket clients, or certain jobs, require more advanced and specific skills, such as creating Figma design systems and other advanced components. Should I first master all aspects of web design in Figma before taking client work?
Or should I start with one simple skill—designing modern websites for clients—and charge less at first? The problem is that jobs like this on Upwork are not easy to find.
I currently have one main skill, and at the same time, I still need to learn how to use Upwork properly.
