Need Guidance
Hi everyone,
I’m a Computer Science student and currently working as a freelancer. I manage client communication, handle projects, and deliver work for clients (mainly WordPress and Shopify).
Along with freelancing, I also have my university studies, and I’m trying to upgrade my skills to stay competitive. Recently I’ve been learning more about freelancing to attract higher-quality clients.
However, I’m starting to feel confused and overwhelmed. AI tools are growing quickly, and sometimes it feels like basic WordPress and Shopify work might become less valuable in the future.
As a computer science student, I’m also thinking about developing deeper technical skills such as becoming a full-stack developer or learning AI/ML.
The challenge I’m facing is time management. When I focus on freelancing and client work, I miss out on skill development. When I focus on learning new skills, other responsibilities get delayed.
I’d really appreciate guidance from people who have been in a similar situation:
What should I focus on more at this stage?
- Growing my freelancing business
- Deep technical skills like Full Stack or AI/ML
- Or finding a balance between both?
Any advice or personal experiences would mean a lot.
