Daily Log
11:15 PM – 4:00 PM:
Woke up and spent time with family and friends. I struggled a lot with the decision of whether to attend the wedding events or not. It was emotionally difficult because I was afraid people would ask too many questions about my health and remind me of the past, especially the barat day of my another qzn from six years ago when my illness started. Explaining everything again and again is tiring, and I didn’t want to face that.
My cousin (the groom) personally came to invite me on both days and really wanted me to be there, which meant a lot. Also, my other qzns asked my mom that they missed me. Why wouldn't I come to the event? After thinking deeply, I’ve decided to attend the walima. Still, I feel scared because I don’t want to hear reminders about my past or my health. But I leave everything to Allah. He knows what is best for me.
