Day 18 - Things seem to be slipping out of control slowly! | 23rd April 2026 (Thursday)
⭐ One thing to remember about today
Need to remain patient for at least the next 6 months in order to get sustainable. It’s easy to get “easy money” projects right now, but that’d mean staying mediocre in my skill and getting replaced by AI within the next year or two.
Instead, I need to prioritize hands-on experience and upskilling, and that can only happen inside an agency environment. So for now, even though revenue will take a hit and it’ll be stressful in the short-term, I need to give this a sincere chance for at least 6 months.
💛 Feel the Love of Allah
The 3-4 things I’ve been constantly struggling with improving for the past 5 years now, such as commitment, respecting deadlines, leadership skills, socializing… All of them are now getting addressed under this new role!
It’s certainly uncomfortable, and it’s meant to be, because change always is. But Allah Ta’ala has been kind enough to deliver this opportunity to me without any proactive effort for it, so I need to respect this chance and gain from it as much as I can.
💭 Day Close Reflections
Overall a decently productive day. Getting better at speeding up the copy drafting process. I’m not sure why I enjoy listening to sales calls so much, it’s always so fun.
But still really struggling with sleep routine, and that’s affecting my mood.
Though one thing I realized is, I have to keep journaling as part of my routine no matter how busy I get, otherwise I’m just gonna start become cranky when I don’t slow down and process my thoughts.

I’ll be earning $5k/month by the end of July 2026, so I can perform Umrah with my family in September.

- Not sure if taking work home, outside of office hours, should be considered a win or a mistake, as I really want to maintain a balance between home and office
