One thing I want to remember about today:I spent a significant amount of time trying to solve captioning and music-related problems for client work. Even though many attempts failed, I kept searching for solutions through tutorials, Discord communities, Gemini, and ChatGPT.
What time did I sleep last night and when did I wake up?
- Woke up: 3:40 AM
- Slept: 2:30 AM
What data will I look up after a month or year?
- Progress in video editing skills.
- Improvement in caption creation workflow.
- Whether sound design can effectively replace music in real estate videos.
- Efficiency gains from organizing PC folders and workflow systems.

- Leave folders and project files unorganized.

- Downloaded footage, imported it, adjusted pacing, and removed dead pauses.
- Completed rotoscoping work on part of the project.
- Gathered property information from multiple images using Gemini and organized references.

- Successfully delivered project files after fixing Drive sharing issues.
- Sought help from multiple communities instead of staying stuck.
- Organized PC folders that were previously unstructured.
Mistakes / Learnings:
- Spent many hours searching for music without finding a suitable result.
- Caption workflow consumed significant time due to lack of a clear process.
- XML workflow between DaVinci Resolve and After Effects did not work as expected.
- Learned that strong sound design may be a better alternative when avoiding instrumental music.
- Learned the importance of testing sharing permissions before sending project links.
