📌 Lately, I feel that something is wrong with LinkedIn job postings. I don’t remember the exact number, but I have applied to many graphic design jobs.
🌐Most of these job posts look legitimate:
- They have a proper company name
- A company website (URL)
- And an official company email address
- Despite this, I hardly receive responses—only 1 or 2 replies out of many applications.
🚨Type of Responses I Receive:
When I do get a response, it often says:
- “Your portfolio is professional, but try applying for bigger projects.”
Some replies mention:
- “Your resume did not meet LinkedIn guidelines.”
This confuses me because for graphic designers, the portfolio should matter more than the resume. I don’t understand why the resume is being prioritized over creative work.
After facing repeated rejections and silence I start feeling like maybe I’m not capable or good enough. It makes me question whether I should stop applying for jobs altogether.
SO Should I stop applying for graphic design jobs? Or continue applying and stay consistent?
💡I am open to constructive criticism, advice, and practical suggestions to improve my chances.
