Setback Today: At around 2:10 PM to 2:50 PM, I unable control nafs. After iftar, I also spent about 30 minutes on Instagram.
Instead of hiding this, I am writing it down honestly. This is important because I want to fix the root cause, not ignore it.
Daily Schedule:
- 11:00 PM — Slept
- 3:30 AM — Woke up for sehri
- 5:00 AM — Organized files and tasks on laptop, posted on Skool
- 7:00 AM — Slept again
- 8:50 AM – 11:30 AM — Online classes
- 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM — Shower, cleaned room, random laptop usage, played mobile games (~45 min)
- 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM — Unable to control Nafs(main relapse period).
Emotional State Before Relapse (Very Important Insight):Today, I clearly identified the emotions I was experiencing before the relapse:
- Fear about my career
- Loneliness
- Stress due to low GPA at university
- Feeling lost and lacking a clear purpose in life (most dominant)
This confirms that the issue is not just discipline. it is emotional mismanagement.
Productive Work:
- 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM — Solved TryHackMe (~1 hour) + worked on picoCTF (last day of challenge)
- 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM — Prayer, prepared and ate iftar, used Instagram (~30 min)
- 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM — Continued picoCTF + completed one university assignment
- 10:00 PM — Sleep
Reflection: Today was not perfect, but it was honest. Writing this clearly shows the pattern: Unstructured time + negative emotions = relapse.
This is not a motivation problem. It is a system problem. If I don’t control my environment and schedule tightly, I will repeat this.
Plan for Tomorrow:
- Complete all Information Security assignments
- TryHackMe — 1 hour
- picoCTF — 1 hour
- Linear Algebra — solve 5 questions
