You love his energy. The directness. The "no BS" approach. So you try to replicate it.
Every post feels like you're wearing someone else's suit. Technically it fits, but everyone can tell it's not yours.
Your engagement tanks.
Comments feel... polite.
That awkward kind of polite where people are being nice but aren't actually connecting.
One day, you realize something during your lunch break.
You're not a loud, in-your-face person.
You're someone who figures things out quietly, tests them, and shares what actually works for you.
That's YOUR voice!
Strategic.
Thoughtful.
Maybe a bit nerdy about systems.
Don't copy the person. Copy the principle.
You love their energy? Translate that into consistent, purposeful content.
You love their directness? Make that work as cutting through the noise in YOUR way.
You love their authenticity? Share your actual journey, not some highlight reel fantasy.
Your voice is already there.
It's in how you text your friends. How you explain things to coworkers. How you think when no one's watching.
You don't need to be louder. Or more aggressive. Or more "hustle culture."
You just need to stop pretending you're someone else.
I did.
All of the above was me.
What if you spent today's lunch hour figuring out what your voice actually sounds like?
Because the world doesn't need another Gary Vee.
It needs you. The real you. The one who gets it done quietly while everyone else is talking.

Here are 5 prompts, courtesy of LUNCH-HOUR CEO to help ๐—ฌ๐—ข๐—จ find your voice ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ
โœจ๏ธ
Prompt 1: Voice Archaeology
"I'm trying to find my authentic brand voice. Here are 3 people I admire in my space: [list names].
For each one, help me identify:
1) What specific quality draws me to their content
2) Why that quality resonates with ME personally
3) How that quality might already show up in my own communication
Don't just list traits - ask me questions that make me think deeper about why I'm drawn to what I'm drawn to."
โœจ๏ธ
Prompt 2: The Translation Exercise
"I love [influencer name]'s [specific quality: energy/directness/storytelling/etc]. But when I try to copy it, I sound fake.
Help me translate this quality into MY personality.
Ask me: How do I naturally express this in my daily life?
What does it look like when I'm just being myself - texting friends, explaining something I care about?
Then help me create 3 example posts that capture THEIR principle but in MY voice."
โœจ๏ธ
Prompt 3: Pattern Recognition
"Analyze these 5 pieces of content where I felt authentic [paste casual emails, texts to friends, or messages where you weren't trying to impress anyone].
What patterns do you see in:
1) How I structure thoughts
2) The words/phrases I naturally use
3) My tone when I'm NOT performing
4) What makes my voice distinct from others
Then help me turn this into voice guidelines I can reference when I'm stuck."
โœจ๏ธ
Prompt 4: The Fake Detector
"I'm going to share a post I wrote trying to sound like [influencer].
Point out every place where it sounds forced or inauthentic.
For each one, suggest how I could express the same idea in a way that sounds like ME based on [paste your voice guidelines from Prompt 3].
Be honest - I'd rather hear it from you than from silence on social media."
โœจ๏ธ
Prompt 5: The Voice Testing Lab
"Here's a topic I need to post about: [your topic].
Create 3 versions:
Version A = copying [influencer] style directly
Version B = my authentic voice using my guidelines
Version C = a hybrid blend.
For each, predict: Who would engage, why they'd engage, and what the comment section might look like.
Then show me why Version B builds a more loyal audience even if it feels less 'exciting.'"
โœจ๏ธ
Try this:
Use one prompt during your lunch hour for a week.
One per day.
By day 5, you'll have the clarity that takes most people 6 months to stumble into.
Your voice is already in there. You just have to stop drowning it out with someone else's.

This is the exact prompts I've used to include this vital data in my Brand Manifesto for LUNCH-HOUR CEO
