Art Therapy Practitioner, Teacher and Lover of all things Creative
Hi, I’m Aimee! I created this space because art journaling has been such a grounding outlet for me when life feels full or loud. I have a background in art and teaching, and I truly believe the world would be a better place if more people made time to sit down and create. I use creativity as a way to unwind and make sense of what’s going on inside emotionally. I’ve even turned to art during moments of anxiety when words felt hard to find, and it’s been one of the most supportive tools for helping me reset. I’m really glad you’re here and excited to create alongside you. 💛

🕊️ A Gentle Note 🕊️
I want this to be a safe place to create, share, and show up honestly, especially on the days when things feel heavy or anxious. This free space is meant to be really low pressure. A place to slow down, try things out, and get a feel for art journaling without worrying about how anything looks. It’s about the process, not the result. So many of us carry the pressure to “make it look good,” and that can take the joy right out of creating. Please ease into your art in a way that feels supportive. Skills and techniques can come later, if and when you want them. There’s no expectation to finish pages, share your work, or follow prompts. Sometimes creating is just about sitting with a feeling for a few minutes and letting the marks speak for you. I’ve been there too. There were times when art journaling was one of the only ways I could release.. That’s a big reason this space exists. You’re always welcome to share here if you need support and it’s just as okay to read along quietly. This is meant to be a gentle, respectful place where understanding comes first.

My Most Recent Art Journal Page
I wanted to share a recent art journal page I made. This one came from wanting a quieter headspace. I wasn’t aiming to finish a page or make it look a certain way. I followed what felt grounding in the moment and let the layers build naturally. Sharing this as an example of what process-led art journaling can look like. There’s no right or wrong way to do this. Sometimes the page makes sense right away, sometimes later, but often it’s just about being with the process. 💛 If you feel called to share your own work here, you’re always welcome. And if not, that’s okay too.
