Wanted to create a community of like-minded people who want to raise and grow their own food. Create a safe place where people can come and ask questions about real world solutions to livestock production issues that happen on the farm.
If you are new to livestock or grew up with livestock this will be a place where we can help each other succeed.
I have over 30 years of experience in livestock production mainly focused in Swine and Cattle industry. Grew up with raising sheep, as well as poultry and livestock guardian dogs. I have a wide range of knowledge in animal health in the areas of parasites, illness, parturition issues (Birthing pre and post), wound care, lameness, etc.... As well as proper feeding during gestation and lactation both. Prevention of illness thru biosecurity measures, building bio security protocols.
I also have a wide background in welding and fabrication of livestock facilities, and would love to help anyone with livestock handling ideas and design.
