Journal Magic 📖
Did you know anything can be a wand? 🪄 It’s true. You don’t need something fancy. It doesn’t have to be some kind of special conductive metal or have any kind of stones or be anointed with anything. It doesn’t need to be some kind of wood from some sacred tree or nada. We are sacred! Our bodies, our being, we are as sacred as the trees my Love. What is a wand after all? Something to point and focus or direct energy and intention. Well, we exist because of energy. We are energy. All we need do is point a finger. But here’s another thought. How about a pencil? ✏️ There is power in journaling. In taking what is unseen in our hearts and minds and making it a physical thing on paper. Something that you can see and touch. And once those things are on paper in a physical form, we can do things with them. I am not afraid to admit that I have made mistakes. That sometimes I get sad or angry and make bad choices. I am also not afraid to admit that I am a good person. I am a good Mom a good friend and neighbor and sister and daughter too! And I make a lot of good choices. I say this because I have little witches now, who are always watching and learning from what I do even when I don’t know it. They need to know that we all make mistakes. No one is perfect. We will all feel things that we don’t understand sometimes. We will all make choices that aren’t the best ones. That doesn’t mean we are bad people, it just means that we are people. I know, and teach, that this is how we learn. If we accept the lessons and the consequences that come from our mistakes. But know that repeating them is not acceptable, we can be different and better any time we want. This is what sovereignty and autonomy is all about right? Having the right and the freedom to teach ourselves through living, and to choose what we do with what we learn. So when I know I have done or thought or felt something bad, I can write it down on a piece of paper and read it. Sometimes even, when I start feeling bad about myself because things from the past, I can write that down and read it. I can also write down the good things about myself. And then I think to myself, there it is. There is the “thing” and I think of all the different things I could do with it. I could leave it in my journal and read it every time I open it, over and over. I could tear the page out and keep it in my pocket, take it everywhere with me. Or I could get rid of it, flush it in the toilet or throw it in a river.

Grounding and releasing 🌳
🌲Did you know that trees create a community with the other trees around them? They even communicate with each other by sending signals from their roots through an underground network of fungus. We call this the “wood wide web”. Trees communicate with each other throughout the entire forest. They help each other raise their offspring, they share nutrients, and warn each other of dangers like disease and drought. When one tree suffers, the others send lifesaving resources to it so that it has a better chance of survival. And the cool thing is, they don’t care what kind of trees they help. A tree is a tree. The maples help the pines and the pines help the Cedars and the Cedars help the Willows. They don’t care if the tree is the same as them or not, they help without judgment or discrimination. So here’s something for you to try next time you’re out in nature. We call it aligning with a tree. Find a nice tall sturdy tree. We like pine trees for this because they stand so tall and straight. First say hello to the tree by placing your hands on it. Speak to it if you feel called to. If you are coming to this tree with something on your heart and mind, tell the tree about it. Ask it for its help. 🏕️ Sit at the base of the tree with your back pressed against it and your legs out straight in front of you. Press your hands to the ground at your side. Close your eyes, hear the wind, hear the birds, clear your mind. Imagine the energy of the earth beneath you, being channeled up from the roots of the tree to the top of the tree, and out into the cosmos. Let it carry with it your troubles, your worries, your sadness. Let it carry with it your joy, your happiness, your blessings in praise. Let it carry your prayers for yourself your family and the world. Let it send them up to our Creator. Think of our Grandfather above, our Grandmother below, and the tree that is your connection between the two. When you feel ready, stand and thank them all. You can leave a small offering of appreciation. Whatever you feel called to offer, a song, a small plate of food, a drink of water for the tree. Your spirit will tell you what’s right. Do this anytime you feel called to and see how it can help you.🪾

Bath time Water Magic!🛁🫧
Tonight we are in the waning phase of the moon. This is the first phase after a full moon and it means that the moon is shrinking into the new moon phase. It’s a great time to do spell work for releasing what does not serve us. 🧼Here’s a bath time ritual that you can practice anytime, but this moon phase makes the timing perfect. 💭Think about whatever is on your heart and mind that’s holding you back. Maybe you have a test coming up for school and you’re afraid you’ll fail. 📝 Get a pencil and some paper and start writing down all the beliefs of self judgement that keep you from achieving your best, for example: I’m not smart enough. I always get the answers wrong. Whatever your harsh feelings are, write them down. Take your time with it and really think while you journal. When you are done, prepare your bath and cast your circle. While you sit in the water, first ground yourself. Then begin your ritual by reading off each thing on your list and say out loud or to yourself, “I release the belief that I am not smart enough.” And pour a cup of water over your head. Imagine it washing away your harsh belief. Read the next thing on your list “I release the belief that I always get the answers wrong.” And pour another cup of water over head, again imagining it washing away your harsh belief. Go through your entire list and when you’re done, wash up and then step out of the tub and watch the water go down the drain. As it goes down, affirm your work by bidding it all farewell and speaking good things to yourself. “I am smart enough. I will get it right. Because I speak it, so it will be.” You can even do this in the shower if you don’t have a tub. Just let the water run over your head as you release what you no longer want, and let it wash down the drain. 🚿 Love yourselves Little Witches ❤️🧿
