It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.
You turn 40 and decide you're getting old. You stop doing hard things. You get weaker, stiffer and less fit.
Eventually, you genuinely can't do them anymore.
“See? I knew I was getting old.”
And repeat every year until you're in an assisted living facility
Maybe you feel old because you stopped doing hard things.
ROAD TO 300
The Goal — To shoulder a 309lb (140kg) sandbag 15 times on each side.
I can't do it yet. Not even half.
I'm documenting the entire journey, the training, progress, failures, experiments and everything I learn along the way.
Lift Heavy Things is about continuing to do hard things and not letting your body become the reason you stop doing the things you want to do.
Why?
Because almost every day I hear someone complain about how old they're getting and all the things they can't do anymore because of their age.
I'm 40 and i know thats bullshit.
Getting older doesn't mean you have to stop doing hard things.
I'm starting with 300lbs.
What's your 300?
