I had a client who came to me in a health crisis.
We worked together for months. And slowly things started shifting — her sleep improved, her body stopped reacting the way it used to, her energy came back in ways she had forgotten were possible.
But she kept waiting to feel better.
Because she had been unwell for so long she did not recognize what better felt like. Her nervous system had been running in survival mode for years. Health was unfamiliar. And unfamiliar can feel unsettling — even when it is exactly what you asked for.
The breakthroughs were happening. She just did not have a reference point for them yet.
Today's lesson is about that. When you are focused on the end result you can miss every sign that the work is already moving.
Noticing what is changing — even slightly — is how you start to trust that it is working.
