In this community we find out together what wise advice elderly people (and people on their deathbed) would give their younger selves so that we can get a perspective of the bigger picture, apply their advice and skip out on making mistakes, living with regrets, etc. Basically we are learning in a very short amount of time what could have taken you decades to find out. So, as opposed to guessing your way through the 20's or first-time parenting, career choices, life in general, etc - we get to have a life boost by applying the wisdom that people gain when it's too late. The elderly have incredible wisdom from a lifetime of learning.
