Introducing 1830 Tribe
Right!! after a lot of overthinking and advice-seeking, I’ve finally decided to create this community: 1830 Tribe - A space for international students in the UK to network, share ideas, and learn from each other’s experiences. I came to the UK as an international student myself. From getting my first part-time job at university, to securing a sponsored role, and eventually becoming a British citizen, every step of the journey felt like something I had to figure out on my own. I often wished I had someone guiding me, supporting me, and helping me navigate the challenges along the way. Now that I’m on the other side of that journey, I want to be that person for others walking a similar path. The name 1830 comes from the hours beyond the typical 9 to 5, the late nights spent building dreams, learning skills, creating opportunities, and working towards something bigger. 1830 Tribe is for people who refuse to compromise. If this resonates with you, come join us. Let’s learn together, grow together, and build stronger futures during challenging times for international students in the UK.

Introducing 1830 Tribe
I guess the weather was too tempting today 🌞
Interestingly no one happened to turn up to today's session and thats ok. Coincidentally, today’s topic was around building better habits and discipline into our day-to-day lives, especially when it comes to careers, wellbeing and personal growth. If anything, it reminded me why this conversation matters. This space exists for the same reason. Not to add pressure, but to help us build better habits. So here’s a simple weekly checklist: 1. Check your email notifications (make sure they are on) 2. Engage with the polls, comment on posts to let me know what your thoughts are 3. Spend 15–20 minutes exploring Skool and useful communities inside it I’ll keep showing up with sessions, posts and resources. I made a commitment and I will do my best to develop habits that enable me to keep at it. Small actions compound. The goal is not perfection, it is about being more intentional with your time. Hopefully see you guys next week 😊 IMPORTANT NOTE: Please remember, our next session is scheduled for Friday 29th, 12.00 to 1.00 pm. PS: special thanks to @Hiranmayi Lingam for keeping company ❤️

Its already time for our second session tomorrow 😯
Its mad how time flies. I don't know about you guys, but its been a flash for me. Without even knowing its already time for our second session tomorrow. I'm hoping for this session to be more of a dialog than a presentation. If you need me to cover any specific topics, let me know in comments or drop me a dm. If you are still not there, don't worry too much about speaking up or being pointed at. I completely respect that it can be overwhelming to speak up in a group, so if you dm and let me know, I'll make sure I won't bother you. Feel free to just turn up and listen. You are still actively listening which is great, so don't feel you are being passive. A quick note before the session: - Turn up and leave whenever, its ok, its not a lecture - Use the chat if you don't feel comfortable talking 💬 - You can mute and turn camera off, we don't mind 🔇 - Make yourself a drink and have some snacks handy 🍿🍭🍾 - Use the raise hand feature to speak up 🤚 See you guys tomorrow :)
