"Life After Diagnosis" is a moderated learning-and-discussion support group for people living with mental health diagnoses — and for the family members and friends who support them — with a focus on addressing stigma and increasing shared understanding.
The group is led by Bill Lichtenstein, an award-winning journalist diagnosed with bipolar disorder while working at ABC News, who later built a successful documentary production company.
The focus of the group is on helping people understand and deal with what they’re living with after a mental health diagnosis.
This includes how it affects daily life, relationships, work, and self-understanding, how it’s talked about with others, and how people deal with the stigma that often comes with a diagnosis.
