Deciding about surgical plan
I think it could be really valuable for people to share how they made their surgery decisions. I know this is different for everyone, and I think that's where the value lies.
Some of us had choices, and some of us didn't. I believe sharing that experience could be very therapeutic for everyone - especially those coming after us. Perhaps it will be helpful for them to lean into this as a resource for their decision making, not as advice, but as in how to approach the decision making process.
It could also be helpful to share how we have felt since making the decisions, after our surgeries, and how those feelings have evolved, if they have.
Today I'm just presenting this idea. I'll work on my thought process and share it soon. If you are comfortable doing so, please share your process, as well!
