Report from outside the stadium
Here's some of my footage from yesterday's world cup game. I was outside the stadium during the game.
There was a huge stage for Iranians with different guests who spoke. There were many reporters there speaking to people. The general vibe, unlike online platforms, was positive and hopeful. While some were speaking about a potential "deal", the crowd didn't seem to be as angry as we see some on online platforms. People proudly waved the US and Israel flags alongside the lion and sun, and still were thankful of them for helping us this far.
Then came the islamic republic supporters. There were some clashes between us and them. Alongside them we noticed many Mexicans and Lebanese with the crab flag. Rumor was they were given free tickets to be there. But they seemed very quiet as they passed us to enter the stadium. We also saw a few balestine flags and keffiyehs for which we gave them one of our popular slogans "shove the palestinian flag up your arse".
After the game people reporterd FIFA tried to confiscate the lion and sun as much as they could but did not succeed. This explains the videos of them attempting this but at the same time the presence of many lion and sun flags across the stadium.
And this brings me to a final point: Unity. Unity is our weapon. We were united to make sure our voices are heard and our flag is seen by all. And we succeeded. They couldn't take away all of our flags because of its large quantity. So much that even the islamic republic state TV could not censor our lion and sun from their stream!
