I had a question about triplets in footwork. Does anyone use triplet counts for footwork? i just hear the use of quarter and eighth notes on common time. Context: I had an instructor teach a footwork class to the song - La Serpiente : Ralphy Dreams. to go along w/ the intro guitar run, she used 4 “cross-step-step”s on an eighth note count, to match the guitar’s vibes. the guitar is playing triplets.

Hello everyone!! What a huge month for LUYD, we've grown to 171 members and I've bought a laptop to help my girlfriend with editing all the videos so we've released quite a lot of videos this month! NEW VIDEOS - Bachata Sensual Solo, BachaZouk Counterbalances, Bachata Fusion, Arm styling with Emilia, Dominican Bachata, Solo Musicality + footwork masterclass. Also if you look through bachata sensual solo fundamentals you'll see that we've re-filmed most of the videos and some of them are now 4-5X longer, I really wanted to take my time in explaining these movements and I've added 1st revision. As a promise to you all we will keep revising videos as we grow as instructors, so there will be more revisions, the numbers help you keep track of when you watched them =) please continue to use the forum to ask for feedback tips and also post what you'd like to see in the course next and we'll keep adding them as we go around the world and find the suitable instructors for the specific things you ask for <3 Love, LUYD Team

Here are some great points I’ve received to add into the next update - welcome message guiding people on how to navigate the course, which we recommend to start with etc. - ⁠making a topic specifically for Jack and Jill training ( the musicality with Liza is pretty great for that, she’s the world champion after all and I won a few 😅 ) but we can make it more Jack and Jill focused - ⁠re-arrange the classes in the order they should be watched ( I can actually do that tonight ) - ⁠zoom in on some of the videos and move the subtitles so they don’t cover the feet - ⁠add exercises at the end of each topic for you to practice individual movements and conditioning Keep the suggestions coming!
