Who am I and why did I start this community? Hi, my name’s Andy, and I created this Skool community as a space where parents and teens can come together for support, motivation, and real strategies to succeed during some of the most challenging years of life — the teenage years! School didn’t come naturally to me. I wasn’t academic, and I had to work extra hard to get to where I am today. Just as I was trying to handle the pressure of exams and growing up, my mum was sadly diagnosed with cancer, and my parents split up soon after. It made navigating Year 10 and 11 feel almost impossible. I left school with average grades and limited options, but I know I’m not alone — thousands of teens across the country are battling personal challenges while trying to stay afloat academically. After pushing through A-levels, I started university, but my mum passed away when I was just 20. I barely scraped through with a 2:2 from a not-so-great university. But that’s when everything started to change... I began working in a local school, discovered my passion for teaching, and eventually earned a place on a teacher training course — even though the interviewer told me they usually only accept “smarter people”! I went on to graduate top of the class with a First. Since then, I’ve taught for over 12 years, run trips abroad, consistently helped my students smash their GCSEs — and now, I’m running this growing community where we combine academic support with mental health strategies to help teens truly realise their potential. You’re 100% in the right place — teens in this community are already making incredible progress, building confidence, and improving their grades fast. Hi all I've signed up to the pro membership to support my daughter with her mocks/GCSE's next year as she has been overwhelmed. Quick question - on my phone when I access the calendar I can see the live tutorial sessions and join/add to my personal calendar however when I log on via desktop the calendar doesn't show these live events. Just wondered if it was me doing something wrong or if it's not desktop compatible. thanks Emma
