How many hours is your optimal work day?
Hey friends 🤙🏻 I got back from my 2 week hitch at the mine camp up North. For those of you who are not familiar with where I'm from, it's what I call the middle of butt fuck nowhere, Saskatchewan, Canada ( pardon my French). But if southern half of it at least has some people living in it, the more North you get, the less civilization is around you, but nevertheless... this country if full of mineral resources and mines with working camps are becoming a decent way to make some 💰 Just a reminder why am I doing this and what does it have to do with epoxy ? 🤔 🤦🏻♂️ right... starting capital, duh. That was my initial mistake trying to start a business, I came in with not having any starting capital and I thought I'll just borrow what I need and new projects are just gonna cover all my expenses ,I'll pay off all the business loans in no time and start rolling in cash 😁 Ambitious goals aren't bad, but I wish someone would do a reality check on me, unfortunately there wasn't such a person by my side at a time and I had to learn these things the hard way, but since I seem to learn this way most of the things in life ( not just business related ), maybe because I'm too impulsive or maybe because I just didn't know who I could ask for advice 🤷🏻♂️ Here I am. This group is actually my attempt to create something I wish I could lean on at times, at least in my mind I can see it that way and hopefully one day it will become something like this . Back to my original thought. After spending couple of weeks "up in the boonies" and working as much as I could physically push myself, putting in 16 hrs days on avarage, I noticed, that more than 90% of the people don't want to work that many hours. Even considering everyone at the camp was there for work. I mean yeah, they have a gym and hang out areas where people can socialize, but the main purpose of staying there is to make money, not watch TV or play pool. I thought to myself that if I want to, I can do all these things when I'm not working and when I'm back home and also that reminded me of how much work is involved in setting up a business.
